Relationships
St. John's has an ongoing companion relationship with
St. Timothy's Anglican Church in Tokyo, Japan. Members of both
parishes have exchanged visits more than once.
We also share with our local regional sister parishes, especially the ones
in close proximity along upper George's Creek in Allegany County,
Maryland. We share an organist with
St. Peter's in Lonaconing,
and have warm relations with our sister parish on George's Creek,
St. George's, Mount Savage.
We
share resources
with our sister regional Mutual Ministry parishes along the creek and elsewhere.
In Allegany County they are
St. James, Westernport,
and
St. Peter's, Lonaconing.
In Garrett County they are
St. John's Deer
Park, and St. Matthew's Oakland.
We also warmly
recognize
Emmanuel, Cumberland and
Holy Cross, Cumberland as they begin their discernment to join the mutual
ministry formation. Often our regional parishes support one another in
sharing clergy coverage.
St.
John's fully participates in the Frostburg Ministerium, representing all the denominations in the City
of Frostburg.
