Mutual Ministry
One of the things that makes St. John's so
exciting right now, is that we're training people in our church to be lay and
ordained ministers of the Church. We've discerned two of our parishioners as
being called by God to be priests, one as a deacon, one as a lay preacher, and
another as a lay worship coordinator.
Instead of sending them off the seminary we're
training them right here in our back yard, so to speak - and along with their
training they are generating the most incredible energy and ideas for ministry.
